Nerve-racking/came in

Hi

Cathy and me had another child. I had a five day break in the tour, which was nerve-racking. If the baby came early or late I'd have missed his arrival into the world.

Was he nervous because he had a break in the tour or because he was going to have a son???

Mike was sitting at his father's bed. I think that, as much as he was possibly given the character of his father, there was a sense of closure and peace and things being brought to some kind of understanding between them.

Does it mean that Mike and his father had similar characters, but when his father was dying they started to understand each other better, they came closer to each other, they were calmer (peace)?

  • He was nervous in case his son was not born during those 5 days, because those were the only days in which he could be present at the birth.

No, I haven't made a mistake quoting these words.
