Some conjunctions combine with other words to form what are called correlative conjunctions, and the "neither... nor..." pair is one of those

So it seems that both nouns or both adjectives that wants to be used in this grammar shouldn't be kind of synonym.
Specially for adj form: it is neither warm nor hot. I think it os not correct cause both adj are kind of same.
It is neither hot nor cold. It seems the seconds sentance is true.
