Negatively about the future

Which tense we use when we're speaking about thinks we believe are not likely to happen?

"I don't claim that it's the best method and it would (will/work?) for everyone but for me it's perfect."

Top answer

Use whichever auxiliary verb ("would" or "will") you like. The final meaning is the same. More importantly: put a comma after "but".

No modal is needed there to express your idea:

I don't claim that it [is the best method] or [works for everyone], but for me it's perfect.
