Negative versus positive

They've got no cars is a negative sentence.
They've got zero cars is a positive sentence.

Am I right?

I suppose you are right, but note that using 'zero' in that way is clumsy and, really, rather substandard English. Note also that 'zero' would not be a correct answer if I asked you for a positive number.

As the verb is affirmative, I consider that to be an affirmative sentence. The fact that it conveys the same meaning as the negative They haven't got any cars is not important,
