negative simple present question

Hi Everyone,

I'm still writing my simple present worksheet for one of my students.

I'm wondering what you experts think of this:

He isn't working.
He's not working.

Is one better than the other, or do they carry equal weight?

I've never stopped to notice that they both mean the same thing, yet which one should we use?

Is there a preference?

Thanks,

The former is more common, but the latter is correct and acceptable.
