Negative sentences

One of my friends has told me that we cannot use negative verbs after "since" in present perfect tense. When I asked him to show me some related examples, he had nothing in his mind. Does this rule sound familiar to you? If so, can you make a sentence in which we cannot use a negative verbs/forms after "since"?

Let me clarify. My friend's intention was about this meaning of since: from a particular time or event in the past until the present, or in that period of time.

In both of your examples, since means "because". This is OK and does not apply to my friend's claim.

I did not intend the second one to be "because", which shows how "since" can be ambiguous in some cases!

I did say that the second one was anomalous, so I tend to agree with your friend. If you want, you can make some sentences that are supp

We don't have any example. That's why I didn't understand what he said. I personally cannot create a sentence with "since + negative verb".

I can't think of any either, so it must be true that it can't be done.

It's about three years since I haven't seen him.

How do you fix it? (I haven't seen him in about three years ago. (or for three years.))
