What is the mean and the rule of negative questions? - I don't know what you mean by 'rule'.

Wouldn't it be nice if we didn't have to work on Friday?= It would be nice if we didn't have to work on Friday, wouldn't it?
Why not do it now? = I see no reason why we shouldn't do it now. 'Why not' often means 'Let's'.
