So what do you say about:

"How can I stop being needy for ***"

Hi,

That's not wrong.. 'Needy' is used there as an adjective, and the sentence has a verb.

In the original sentence, there was no verb, so I made 'needy' into a verb.
I could also have said 'I am needy for your prayers'.

But where can you use it?

Hi,

eg He gives a lot of money to needy people. ie to people who are living in poverty.

eg Mary is a very needy person. This is a general comment on her character. eg she is the kind of person who needs constant atttention, constant praise, constant emotional support
