Needs Analysis

Hello, I'm studing a BA in English Language Teaching, and I would like to know if somebody could help me with some resources about how to make a properly needs analysis, I have some doubts about that, like what do I have to include, or how should I apply it? Should I justify my findings according to some others authors in the field?
