Letter Writing

Needing to write a [formal?] letter to my financial aid for college...

Hey.

OK. I am needing help getting started on this letter to my Financial Aid people so I may go back to college in the fall. I am unsure on how to even go about writing this letter; who to address it to, how to write it knowledgably, or what exactly to say.
If anyone can help me with this, it would be greatly appreciated.
