Need your help to explain this please

Dear all,
Can I use a verb+ing with verb to be ?
I found this sentence while I was reading an article:
I appreciate you thinking about my career

Regards,

Could you give an example of the sort of thing you mean? The sentence that you quote does not use the verb "be", and it is not very clear how it relates to your question. Do you mean something like "I appreciate you being honest"?

Yes, of course you can use an -ing form with forms of be. All continuous tenses have that pattern (We will be having sandwiches for lunch).
