Tasers discharge anywhere between 50 and 300 volts. Taser guns discharge a greater voltage than handheld tasers, because the further the stun probes travel when shot, the more volts they pick up. If shot from afar, this could be deadly.

Note I use "volts" which are the units of measurement, not "voltage" which is the category of measurement.
For example: My car has a 1,000 mileage on it (wrong) vs My car has 1,000 miles on it (right).

However, I also know something about Tasers and the facts of your sentences are mistaken. According to the Taser website, a taser gun can discharge over 5,000 volts. And, second, you do not pick up more volts the further the probe wire travels. What happens is that the probes begin to separate, making them more effective by hitting a larger part of the body. However, the voltage remains the same. Also, wired probes on civilian tasers only travel 15 feet. So the distance seems too small to make any difference.
