need to specify position in business card

Hi,

A friend of mine just got a raise ... which means some changes need to be made to his business card :-)

Please help us choose the best "position title " (to be specified in his new business card). What do you think of the following variants:

(1) Center for System Applications, Director
(2) Director of the Center for System Applications
(2) System Applications Center, Director

In the US, the plural, "systems," is used in such situations. All three are okay. If there is a difference, it is subtle:

1. This is the most all-around, general-sounding title.

2. This is the most formal and important-sounding of the three.

3. This the most modest-sounding of the three.

Yes, I am aware of this nuance actually. For example, "systems engineer"is used MUCH MORE often than "system engineer" in AE (AFAIK). On the other hand, wouldn't that "grate "on your ears if one plural noun immediatly followed another plural noun ("center for systemS applicationS")?

I almost suggested that change myself. "systems applications" breaks the usual rule that a modifying noun should be singular, but I'd call this a special case. It doesn't bother me because I've heard it used that way so
