Need someone to correct my poor english, please. Thanks!!!!!

Part of my travel diary which needs to be corrected, thanks a lot !!!!

When people read the novel “The semi Gods and semi Devils” or when people see the ‘Five Golden Flowers’, there is one place which reminds people of, and that is, Dali.

Dali is a famous national historic relic city and a national key scenic spot area. Most people come to Dali to see Erhai Lake and Cangshan Mountain. I read a novel about a story of the fascinating culture of Bai nationality when I was in high school which drew my desire to visit Dali. As Yunnan Province is home to about half of China'a ethnic groups, the Bai people are known for their gracious hospitality.

As soon as we got off our night bus in Dali, a persuasive taxi driver managed to settle us a deal to drive us around Dali for 10 RMB per person for a day. We quickly got him to find us a place to do our morning brush and then bought our afternoon bus tickets to Lijiang before our day trip in Dali begun.

Coming to Dali, You can’t avoid seeing the Bai Ethnic Minority’s costume, you can’t avoid seeing the Bai Ethnic Minority’s dance, you can’t avoid drinking the three-course tea. Bao-Cheng Fu was our first destination at Dali. It has the typical Bai architectures and a rich nation’s culture which is the Bai Culture’s epitome.

We watched the singing and dancing performance of the Bai people and drank the famous Three-Course Tea which includes ‘bitter tea’, ‘sweet tea’ and ‘final tea’. The Three-Course Tea is one of the drink cultures of the Bai ethnical group. It is also one of important etiquette of the Bai ethnic group.

If you ask me if there was anything in Dali which I would enjoy in retrospect, I would have to say the story of the ‘ArBon Brother’ and the ‘Golden Flower’ told by the golden flower while we were drinking the tea.

In White Culture, they call the men ‘ArBon Brothers’ and the women ‘Golden Flowers’ . The ‘Golden Flower’ who served the tea for us said openly that women attracted a high social status at the Bai Ethnic Minority. In their culture, it is common to have the grooms marry into the brides’ families. As long as the brides’ families are willing to spend the money, they could have a son-in-law by adoption. Some Bai families would marry their sons into other families and adopt a son-in-law instead.

The ‘Golden Flower’ quickly looked at us all at a glance and said to Mee-Lu that he would worth around RMB 380,000 at the Bai Nationality. Just when we were amazed that Mee-Lu was worth that much, the ‘Golden Flower’ then said RMB 380,000 was the “minimum” that a bride’s family would pay to adopt a son-in-law. We were all bursted into laughter at her comment!!

During the rest of the trip, the figure of RMB 380,000 kept on circulating amongst our conversation. The four girls were all very regretted why we didn’t marry off the four guys to ladies at Dali…
