Need some help with bird's-eye view

Hello all.

I have a question regarding the usage of bird's-eye view. I'm currently writing a walkthrough for a game and I'm not sure how to formulate a sentence.

The situation is like this:

You look at the world map from a bird's-eye view. So when you move your character around, left means west, up means north and so on.

What I had in mind is:

Since you get a bird's-eye view of the world map, when I say move left that means move west and so on.

VS

You look at the world map from a bird's-eye view so when I say move left that means move west and so on.

Are both of these sentences correct and do they hold the same meaning?

For first sentence, maybe put have instead of get?

Can bird's-eye view be interchangeable with bird's eye perspective in my case?

Thanks for your time and answers (and do point out any mistakes I made, particularly with punctuation, I have some problems with these since English isn't my native language and I didn't use "proper" English for over 4 years (interwebs Emotion: smile ).

BTW, I asked this question. Yeah, it was kind of stupid to ask first and register later, but oh well. Any advice would be apprecciated.

  • On that note, I have another question.
  • I read through the bias toward thread, but I'm wondering how it is used with persons.

All three choices are biased towards her.

Bump. Still looking for advice.

The extra c in appreciated was a typo. Emotion: indifferent

Thanks.

Bump. If this kind of bumping is not allowed on the forums, do tell. I'm planning on putting the walkthrough online tommorow so it's kind of urgent.

Thanks.
