Need some help please- autobiographical essay

hi my name is giselle and i will applying to fit in ny they require an autobiographical essay.but i am having ahard time even starting it.I'm not sure what it should contain or about the structure .like do i tell them about facts like where i was born or family or is that besides the point.what do they really want to know and how should i structure the essay.it is hard for me to structure my ideas and expreww reasons why i want to go there and major in fashion i'm afraid that i won't write a good essay. can someone please help

Hi Giselle, You have the basic idea-- write the story of your life in chronological order, and try to include especially the events or experiences which have helped you develop character and choose your career in fashion design.
