but sometime,,,when i'm writing on behave of someone....say....Mary writing on behave of Peter.. Mary takes care of Peter, then at the end of the letter..

Perhaps what you are seeing as c/- is realy meant to be c/o?

If you address a letter to Mary, but you mail it to Peter because Mary is living at Peter's house, you would write the address on the envelope as

Mary,

c/o Peter

c/o means 'c
