Grammar

need pronounce here

Hi teachers,

Do I need 'our' as in the second sentence to reply to a question what should/shouldn't do in the classroom?

We should share snacks with classmates.
We should share our snacks with our classmates.

Thanks

Hi Clive,

Thanks. But is the first sentence without pronoun wrong?

No. But much less commonly said.

Hi Clive,

I found this sentence on the internet:

Should we share cool discoveries with readers, or keep it all secret for fear they will hurt themselves?

Would you tell me ways to know when should we use pronouns in cases like this? Because the sentence could be easily used with 'share ouor cool discoveries with our readers'

Thanks

My main comment is that context and interpretation are very important. Consider these examples.

Students should be kind to classmates. Sounds like general advice about all students and all classmates.

We should be kind to classmates.
