Need information about Baku, Azerbaijan

Hi everyone
I and my husband have been considering migration for some time and Baku seems like a good place for us. I just want to get some information about its culture, economy and media.
Here are my questions in detail:

1. I am an English teacher and a translator. My husband is a film-maker and editor. Do you think we can find appropriate jobs in Baku? Are TV channels willing to hire someone with a high level of expertise? How does the society view artists and people in the media business? What about the salaries and job security for people who work in TV channels?

2. What is the status of women in Azerbaijan? How close is it to highly developed European countries?

3. How fun is Baku? Are there many modern cinemas in the city?

I'm be really grateful if you help me on this. We have never been to Baku and we can't visit there until fall. I desperately need this information, because it will affect my decisions and plans for the next 3 months.
