Need help with this verse

This below is a humorous verse meant to promote a video called 'Garrett's Mind'.

Please check for any errors in meaning and make suggestions how to improve it.

('the manfools' and 'the Woodsie Lord' need to stay)

the manfools grew sad and bored
with no hope of joy ahead
so they called the woodsie lord
and he came to them and said

yo, manfools, you need to see (watch)
this one film (flick) called garrett's mind
so they did and found their glee (felt top notch)
and they thanked (praised) him all combined

Hello Alphecca,

This helps a lot. Thank you!

Would you please 'translate' this part to a more ordinary english Emotion: smile)

Also this looks exactly like the kind of nursery rhyme I was aiming for!

Revelry is enthusiastic joy and celebration.

"Wined and dined" means to be treated to something very special. Of course, here in the poem, it is not literal, but figurative.
