Please can you help me with this paragraph for any grammar mistakes or use of alternative words.
When my father emigrated to the UK he came with a vision, a purpose and a goal. He didn’t let anything stand in his way. He stuck to his principles and never wavered in the face of failure. Success was his only option. He planned his future with a great deal of optimism. In the midst of his achievements he shared with me words of inspiration. Those inspirational words set me off to be where I am today and where I want to be in the future.
