Need help with the pronunciation for "ampliative."

Hi,

I'm trying to figure out how to pronounce "ampliative." Some dictionaries to which i have access either don't have the word, have no pronunciation, or the pronunciation Am"*** which i don't know how to interpret.

Although not necessary (since you may have better methods), pronunciations of this form are adequate:

AM plee uh tiv

am PLEE uh tiv

am plee AY tiv

Thanks!

How about "am PLIE uh tiv". Or have you figured it out?

Hi Swampy,

No, I haven't figured it out yet. I've been trying to get various opinions. With your suggestion, it's now a tie between pronouncing it with the stress in the first and second syllables. (Am I assuming right that you're pronouncing PLIE with a long "e" sound like in "bee"?)
