(active ) They print the paper daily
(passive) The political editor discovered a serious mistake.

I need help with some more. hehe..

3. (active) They fired several employees as a result of the mistake.
(passive) ______________________________________

4.(active) They published an article about china last month
(passive) The article was published about china last month <-- Is that right?

5. (active) _________________________________
(passive) The article was written by AL baker

6.( active )__________________
(passive) NEw editors are Frequently hired at the newspaper

7. (active) Two of the new editors interviewed marla jacobson.
(passive )____________________________

8.(active ) ____________________
(passive) Marla was given an assignment on the Philippines.

9. ( Active ) Marla researched the article thoroughly.
( Passive ) _______________________

10. ( active ) ___________________
(passive ) Our readers was fascinated by the information.

(passive) The political editor discovered a serious mistake. <<< This sentence is not passive.

I still don't know what you are talking about. These are just two active sentences. So, what are you supposed to do in this exercise? Maybe you should check your instructions again.

In addition, it's better if you show us your answers for all the various questions. Then we can tell you if they are right or not.

(passive) The political editor discovered a serious mistake. This is NOT passive. Passive would be "The paper is printed daily" or "A serious mistake was discovered by the political editor."

I need help with some more. hehe..

(passive) __ Okay, so who was fired? Start the passive with them as the subject.

4.(active) They published an article about china last month
(passive) The article was published about china last month <-- Is that right? An article about China was published last month.

5. (active) __ Who wrote the article? Start the active with the author as the subject
(passive) The article was written by AL baker

6.( active )__This is a bit harder because the person who does the hiring is not mentioned in the passive. You'll have to make it up. The publishers frequently ...
(passive) NEw editors are Frequently hired at the newspaper

7. (active) Two of the new editors interviewed marla jacobson. Don't forget to capitalize proper nouns.
(passive )____________________________ The person who was intereviewed becomes the subject of the passive.

8.(active ) __ Also a problem because you don't know who gave the assignment. You'll have to make it up, like "The editor..."
(passive) Marla was given an assignment on the Philippines.

9. ( Active ) Marla researched the article thoroughly.
( Passive ) __ What was researched? Make that the subject.

10. ( active ) __ What did the "fascinating"? That is the subject
(passive ) Our readers were fascinated by the information.
