Need help with pronounciation guys.

Question

Hi, i'm new here.  I need some help pronouncing of these words.  The words are, girl, we're, we'll, they're, they'll.  For some reason, i can't seem to pronouce the word girl when i'm communicating with my friends.  They always laugh as soon as i say the word "girl".  They say it sounds like i'm trying to say Grrr.  How do i say it to make people hear me clearly and not Grrr.  Same goes with other words.  Please help guys.

I really don't know how to help you. I mean, it's not simple to give advice just writing here, without hearing your pronunciaton or knowing anything about you. For example, many Asians have trouble with R's and L's. Maybe you have trouble with dark L's. Do you know what a dark L is? Are you learning American or British English? Can you pronounce American R's? Do you know what reduced vowels are?
Anyway, here's a few tips... not sure they're gonna help you:

girl = grr-l (the L is pretty dark, so it'll sound like grr-uh-l)
They're = there = th-air
They'll = they-l (the L is pretty dark, so it'll sound like they-uh-l)

I'm a native speaker and it girl does have a strong grr sound as the first syllable is stressed, just make sure you include the L in your pronunciation.

Ger-ul is the best way I can express it.
