Need help with my sentence.

Hello everybody!

I wonder how would it be if I want to say that the amount of people is increasing? Here's my version: "there gets more of them" But I think it's incorrect. Can you point out at my mistake?

Thanks.

Thank you, but can I say something alike but more colloquial?

What I gave you was already pretty colloquial.

The number of people is increasing.

More and more people are being born every day.

Or you can say, more dramatically:

The population is exploding.

The world is getting crowded.
