In this project, I will be designing and building a model that will estimate the costs to run different vehicles with different performances in different parts of the United Kingdom. I will model changes in factors

such as the price of petrol, the zone charges, miles travelled in each zone, average

mileage and the effect of changing to a different car, for example, a small car like a Peugeot 206, 1100cc engine car might achieve an average of 40 miles per gallon, whereas a larger car, 2000cc engine Freelander car might only achieve 25 miles per gallon.

mileage and the effect of changing to a different car, for example, a small car like a Peugeot 206, 1100cc engine car might achieve an average of 40 miles per gallon, whereas a larger car, 2000cc engine Freelander car might only achieve 25 miles per gallon. (You already have a "such as", so you may want to cut out the "for example" and rewrite that last part.)

1. First, I entered the title of the model: The Annual Cost of Running a Car on the Road in the United Kingdom. I used Merge and Centre function which combines the cell contents ~~to show them together~~ in one column. If you have information such as first and last names in separate columns, you can use this function to combine the cell contents to show the names together in one column.

2. I added the costs per mile travelled in each zone. This piece of information is important because it provides me an easy access to the data that I will be working on. Secondly, I also added the different annual road taxes that the user will have to pay depending upon the engine size of their vehicles. Thirdly, I also made a list of all the different car models which the user will be able to choose from.

Describing how a formula works:

This formula is similar to the one shown in the previous step. By using the indication number, I will be able to know what car model the user has chosen, so I will be able to work out the average fuel consumption (mpg) automatically by linking back to the cell which contains the (mpg) of that car model. For instance, in the formula IF($G$5=1, L21) if the indication number is 1 (the first car model in the list), then the program will returns the value in cell L21 (the fuel consumption of the first car model in the list).
