Need help with Business E-mail

Hello everyone,

I'm trying to help out someone who doesn't speak any English at all. However, I fear my skills as a non-native speaker are not good enough to pull this off. So I kindly ask you, dear native English speaker, to help me out. I understand that you're very busy, but if you can spare some of your valuable time to take a quick look at my translation, it'd be very much appreciated Emotion: smile

A metalworks company is looking for business partnerships in the Anglophone world. An informal contact with one possible partner company has been established and now is the time to send a formal business email. This is what I got so far:

---

Dear Mr X:

I am writing to you because Company Y would like to cooperate with you in the field of metal constructions used in machinebuilding (or mechanical engineering?).

Company Y is a small company (even in Small Country Z terms) which manufactures metal structures and assemblies for machinebuilding (or mechanical engineering?). Most of our production is exported to Another Country, although mainly through intermediaries.

We aim to increase the machinebuilding (or mechanical engineering?) part in our overall production and therefore, we are looking for possible partnerships to help us achieve that goal.

To make this happen, we need to make adjustments in our manufacturing and we need to invest. Since the options are limited for a small company, we have to make wise decisions. Therefore we need to have a clear understanding of the nature of the contract work offered by our possible partner company (and the production equipment needed to do it).

Mr W, an employee of ours, suggested you as a possible contractor. What we value in a possible cooperation is flexibility in the delivery dates of first shipments and above all, help in making quotations. We lack information about the UK market.

We kindly ask you to consider a possible partnership with us. To win your trust we would offer you a quote according to the blueprints of a possible contract work. After your approval we would proceed to the manufacturing and ship the finished product to your assembly plant. The payment would be due only after a positive quality control on your side.

We wish to offer you high quality metal constructions and affirm that we are committed to the conditions we agree to to and we keep our deadlines. I am sure that our cooperation would be economically rewarding for both sides.

If and when you have any questions about our offer to you, we are ready to answer them. Unfortunately, my proficiency of the English language is poor. Therefore, if you want to contact us, please do so via e-mail or in urgent matters, Mr W can help. I hope to improve my English in the future.

I will gladly answer any questions you might have. Your response is highly appreciated.

Very truly yours,

Mr N
CEO of Company Y
