Need help with an expression

Hi,

I found the following expression in one book and I cannot make head or tail of what it means:

Izzy was going out with the girl that WASP tied to the rack as part of their stage show.

What does "tie to the rack" mean, please? Does it mean that the girl was forced by anyone to become a part of the show?

Thank you in advance!

Without more context, it's hard to determine the exact meaning, but I would guess that the phrase is meant literally. "Tied to the rack" is certainly not a common idiom.

My guess is that it was some sort of entertainment in which the girl was tied to a torture device called "the rack" (pictured below). Maybe it was a show in which she escaped as if by magic. The sentence doesn't give any clue about what kind of stage show it was.
