Need help with a statement

Hello, everyone.

Would you please help explain the following statement  to me:

"Audi’s blown six is so responsive that it exposes a microsecond of lag you’d otherwise never notice in the 435i’s engine."

What's you’d otherwise never notice in the 435i’s engine?

Thank you.
