i have an idea about the meaning but i cant be sure. please help. thank you in advance. here it is:

My idea is that, a group of homosexuals are making love in a corner. its a translation homework for english lesson and i dont just want to be ashamed of my translation if it doesnt mean so

A Queen can be a very obvious homosexual man. There are other uses of the word, without the whole context it seems that this is the one. If they are strident then they are being loud and maybe upsetting those around them.

"Installing themselves in a corner" I do not read as making love. I think this is more that they are all crowding in and sitting down in a corner of (say) the bar. Gett
