Need help to explain

i have an assignment from my class. it must be presentation tomorrow.
i dont know what i've to explain about the clear difference.

#expressing possibility = may and might
#expressing permission = may and can
#using could to express possibility

Hi, well may and might mean basically the same-50/50 possibility.

May and can in modern English can both be used for permission, however May is more formal but can is aceepted these days: can I go to the toilet/MayI go to the toilet. Personally I would still use May when asking permission.

Could means it's possible. Not as strong as May/might. It all depends on how the speaker
