need help to correct some words

It is rather difficult to understand why I didn't get the payment yet, i wonder if you chase up your bank, otherwise i will consider to ask for a cheaque. is it correct to say (chase up)

Top answer

It sounds rather casual, and not quite right, since 'chase up' to me means 'find'. Do you mean 'contact your bank'?
