Need help. Sentences correction.

Hi teachers,

Which one is correct?

a) We only have to try changing the routines that aren't good for us.

b) We only have to try to change the routines that aren't good for us.

Something is wrong with this sentence, I guess. Will you tell me what it is?

There are activities that we have to do every day and it's impossible that we can change them.

Thanks in advance

Good point. Still, it's not idiomatic in "impossible that we can change them" as used in that sentence.

Hi CalifJim or Anonymous,

In the sentence, 'It's impossible that he ...' we have a subject pronoun.

In the sentence, 'It's impossible for us ...' and the others we have an object pronoun.

Could that be the reason to use 'for'?
