Need help revising this paragraph

After reading this chapter there were several concepts that will make a big difference in my writing skills. For example, controlling sentence structure, be concise, and using redundant phrases. Writing for me has not been easy. When writing I seem to make the task harder than it is probably because I don’t consider myself a good writer. At times I start a sentence and I don’t know when to end it and it winds up being way to long. I think I try to put to much information into a sentence at one time. It was eye opening to see a redundant phrase I had been using: Thank you in advance for your assistance. After reading that I will never use that phrase again. This class as already helped me in communication more efficiently on my job.
