Need help revising my cover letter! Urgent!!
Hello all, I am writing a cover letter in response to a job offer I saw on craigslist. Can anyone please help me edit my cover letter so it will be sound and effective? I'd like to send it out ASAP, so I am open to any suggestions. Thanks!

Through your post on craigslist, I learned that you are seeking a part-time laboratory intern with strong interest and academic background in laboratory science. After reading the job offer and reviewing your website, I would like to be considered for this position.
My name is Ming. As a recent X college graduate with a B.S. degree in Biochemistry, I am actively searching for internships that can help me to gain real-world research and laboratory experiences, because such experiences would greatly benefit my preparation for graduate school which I am planning on applying in a year or two.
I was involved in two semesters of independent research on specific mechanism of RNA transcription using T7 bacteriophage RNA polymerase. I successfully applied my research skills, and maintained the laboratory. I participated in planning and running transcription reactions with radioisotope labeling, and analyzing gel results and preparing reports for my mentor. In addition, I was responsible for maintaining biohazard and radiation safety standards, and ensuring proper handling of potentially hazardous chemical and biological agents. I worked closely with a team of researchers and learned the value of good lab practice. Their impression of me is that I am a diligent student with a strong desire to learn.
Even though some of my research skills from previous laboratory experience might not overlap with the development of human recombinant polyclonal antibodies at Y company, however, I am strongly confident that my practical lab experience and eagerness to learn will make me an excellent research assistant in your lab.
