Haikou Vocational Tourism School is a National Comprehensive Secondary Vocational School, which jointly established in 1993 by Haikou Educational Bureau and Beijing Xicheng District Tourism Education Group. Our school has two campuses. The original campu is located in No.1 North Bailong Road, and our new campus is located in a suburban area of 150,000 square meters. The number of students is more than 5000. There are 13 majores, which are divided into 63 classes, namely culinary, Tour Guide, Cosmetology, and Image Consultant, Tourism English, Air Service and VIP Service, Hotel Service and Management, Golf Service and Management, Merchandise Management, Computer Operation, TOurism Finance and Accounting, Yachting, Service and Management of Convention and Exhibition. Different Majors have diversified courses.

Our school gives full play to the demnstration and ful effect of the state-level key vocational school, and it is the first to build up " three-stage" mode in our country. In 1998, our school joined operation of school with nine cities and counties in Hainan Province respectively and trained nearly 3700 graduates in the poor cities. In 2007, our school took the lead to establish the Hainan Tourism Vocational Education Group with 22 companies, 4 trade associations and 20 vocational schools sending more than 16000 graduates for all sectors of society. The graduation rate is all above 95%: we also train employees nearly 36,000 people, and nearly 24,000 people recieve different types of vocational certificates.
