Need help pleas!

In some courses, there are numerous exams throughout the course, while in other courses there is only one final exam. Discuss the advantages of each of course. Then indicate which type you prefer and why.

In my school's life , there were courses that I still remember and I can retain its information when needed, while there were courses that I can barely remember .

There were courses that have numerous exams throughout the course. This type can be very stressful and it consumes too much time. However, there are two major advantages in this type. First, it keeps the information in the person's brain and it can be recalled when needed because people practice a lot in this type of courses. Second, it increases the interest over the time, people might find interest in a certain subject during practicing. As an example, I found out that math is an interesting subject when I had many exams in it.

On the other hand, there are courses that have only one final exam. In this type, an individual learns how to summarize the information in a short text and write it in a formal way. For example, I used to have science class in which the teacher gave us an assignment to write based on a certain topic instead of many exams so we can learn how to express our ideas.

Even though both types have advantages. However, I believe so strongly that the first type is more beneficial and helpful for the students. Of course people have different opinions , but I prefer the first type for the reasons I mentioned above.

Hi xmagedo; You have to watch the tenses. If you ware writing in past tense, do not mix in the present tense. Also, you sometimes use it with no clear antecedent; the reader is confused what it refers to.

The problem is that you say:

There were (past tense) courses that have (present tense)

You have to make these verbs either present or past tense, but not mixed tenses.

There are courses that have ...
There were courses that had...

Oh!
How shocking I missed something like that!
Thanks again
