Need help on correct sentences.

My six year old did journal writing at school. His teacher said that he should never write the following sentences:
* Title: Things I bring to School
He wrote: I bring my pet to school for show and tell.
His teacher said he should never use this form of sentence, it's incorrect, but I can't understand why. She said, he should write 'will bring' or 'going to bring' or 'brought', but not present tense?
However the other sentences he wrote were ok: I bring my book to school. I bring my bottle to school.
Please help.

* Title: My Friend
He wrote: My friend's name is Devan. I fish with him.
Teacher said 'I fish with him' is incorrect, may not use present tense. Should be 'go fishing' or 'fished.' But I think, 'I fish with him' is a correct sentence.
Please help.

Therefore, he wrote: 'I bring my pet to school for show and tell.'
Is this sentence correct?

Another sentence is: My friend's name is Devan. I fish with him.

Hi LW,

'I bring my pet to school for show and tell.' This suggests 'I' bring my pet to every show and tell, as a habit.

My friend's name is Devan. I fish with him. This is fine, although you could say 'go fishing' if you want to.

LW, you should be happy that your child is writing as well as this. In my opinion, the tea
