Need help. Meaning.

Hi teachers,

What is the meaning of the underlined and bold words in the following sentence?

'That depends on how you look at things. It has five qualities which, if you manage to hang on to team, will make you a person who is always at peace with the world'.

Top answer

If 'team' has some special meaning here, then we don't have enough context to deal with this, but I presume that an article or determiner is missing ('manage to hang on to the/your team'). In this case, 'hang on to' = keep possesion of, retain.
