Need help forming the sentence.

Hello, I'm currently having trouble forming a proper sentence. I want to explain that ever since I came back to my own hometown, I have on an average of 1 friend per month who came here to visit me. Not sure how should I go about forming this sentence to explain this certain points:
- about an average of 1 group of friends visitting me per month.
- and all friends are different faces so far. (which means no same friend has visited me twice yet)

Thank you so much for your help.

Since returning to live in my old home town, I've received only a few visits from old friends and acquaintences. Thus far, none have returned for a second visit. On average, I've had about one visit a month, sometimes from a group, and sometimes from one individual.
