Need help correcting this little paragraph please?

Could you please help me correct this paragraph?

The bumps on the F and J keys are indeed there as a guide/reference to help people find the home keys when touch typing but I am lead to believe that they are not intended for the average typist but in fact are aimed specifically for the benefit of Blind people who without these bumps would have much greater difficulty identifying any keys on the keyboard.

There are a couple of spelling mistakes ("lead", "Blind") but, most of all, the sentence seems to ramble on too long. Could we split in two and trim it down a bit? "The bumps on the F and J keys are indeed there as a guide to help people find the home keys when touch typing.
