Need Help Correcting this essay

i dont think its proper MLA and i am having problems with a conclusion

With all these new technologies like digital TV, mobile phones, the web and other media, technology has help us evolve to higher level. Technology enables us to reach our goals faster than before because we spend so much time readign and gathering information through books and newspapers articles, and now it is just a click away. Technology can be a distraction when trying to do work, but if we have a dedicated goal technology can be a really big help since it gives us fast access to materials we need. Molly Thomas, a journalist for the New York Times, says that "while opponents of the digital revolution claim that technology is "dumbing us down" and is drowning us away from real learning, the reality is quite different" (57). I agree with Thomas's statement because of what technology has given us, and how it helps me in school.

Technology has given us multiple resources like the internet, eBooks or programs to help understanding what you might be currently learning in class. Learning from the internet has its benefits like the information will be more up to date, you'll get people's perspective of the topic and find the meaning of certain topics. The internet has made research much easier because all the articles and information you find is on the screen and not on paper, so it helps us environmentally by saving paper.

The information on the internet is more up to date because books are printed and many copies are made. These books are then updated every few years and reprinted .With the internet, a person doesnt have to wait for so long to get information from other parts of the world since it can be found instantanously through the web.. Also, if you wanted to find history on a famous person or a political figure thats not well know, you can look them up on the internet.

The internet also gives you a person's perspective of a book or theory. With blogs, forums, chat rooms, and real people. You will see either something against your views or maybe for you views and below will be comments on those views and each person is different in the matter. Also, have others perspective make you view the world differently and help you learn more of who you are. For example,when i was young I would be afraid to do things, because i might get hurt. Once i got into high school because i was in a private school before that, i met alots of new friends, but one friend in particular was difffernt than the others. He saw the world as if it were to end, live life to the fullest, at first i thought he was crazy, but then when he passed away, it made me think "no wonder he did so much" because i never knew about the condition he was in. now i live my life to the fulliest because you never know what might happen.

In my personal experience, technology has helped me become smarter in school. The only way I actually learn something in schools is through the computer because I tend to read more online than from a book, since i am always on the computer. When we get an online book, its less to carry when I go to a café to study, and I concentrate more because i cant studying in my own home with my parents yelllign at me. Also whenever I was in a hurry, before a test I would pull up information, from my phone in another class and study off that because a book is big enough to be spotted by the teacher and tells you to put it away compared to a phone, or if you forgot your book at home, i always have my phone with me so i use that.

Some of the downsides of having technology are because it affects our health. It affects our eyesight because of the light shot off by the monitors or screens. It affects us mentally because it will keep us isolated in someplace. It affects our weight because of all the new gadgets comign out, which then generates a lazy lifestyle. Before we walked to the post office to mail a letter. Now, we log on and use e-mail. Kids used to go to the library and search around for the right information. Now, they simply look up whatever they need on the internet. Before television and video games, kids were far more active.
