Hi, can someone please tell me the best answers of the following questions?

1) None of us ( has/ haven't ) eaten dinner yet.

2) My grandfather has been ( in/ to ) hospital a long time.

None of us has eaten dinner yet. Non of us have n't eaten dinner yet . The purist insists that only #1 is correct, but most of us are happy with #2.

Non of us haven't eaten dinner yet.

The purist insists that only #1 is correct, but most of us are happy with #2.

My grandfather has been in hospital (for) a long time.
He went to hospital a long time ago.

These are correct in British English.
