Need help

HI people

I learn english and for my school I have to turn one poem into short story. I know that my english is bad. I hope on your help. Please do that text correct.

Short story :

Me and my best friend.

Today I was very busy.In my high school all pupils have to work very hard, and me too. I went by bus home. My arms were full of the books. I got tired of more information that i have to learn for my next lessons.
Suddenly I saw her, I saw Mary, I saw my best friend. I didnt believe it, because I didnt see her for ten years. At the primary school we were like twins with same coloured ribbons in hair and with equal shyness. Over All our school time we have took part in more competition between us. For example I remember the competition for top desk. "Desk for the most successful pupils in class after each test ". We were the best friends.

Then came time to choose our ways. Marys father was a strong and contrasting strangly man with elegant greyhounds by his side.His big problem was that he didnt believe in high school education. He thought the high school education is very problematically especially for girls.

I didnt see Mary ten years. Today was the happiest day in my life, because I saw Mary again. She sat beside me on the bus. All was changed in our life. Mary was married.

Her husband is a nice and tall man with curly hair. Happy faces and Happy Smiles. I was very happy for Mary. It was wonderful. And I was coming home and thinking about the time when the choices got made.
