It is hard to believe that Manchester United need ever face the negative consequences of their decisions. Is "face" a verb ? It should be "need to face",isn't it ? I didn't see "to" between "need" and "face" ?
Top answer
This is the modal verb 'need'. That is why it does not end in -s and there is no 'to'.
