18.While some believe that the best way to learn about current events is through newspapers, others think that they can learn news better through other forms of media. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

Some believe reading newspapers is the best way to be informed about happening events, but others argue that using different types of media is a better way to do it. While newspapers have no advertisements annoying the reader, this essay believes using other kinds of media is better since they are much cheaper.

Newspapers contain just the news that people want to read and have zero advertisements. People who check the news tend to only be interested in the information they want to know so having no advertisements interfering the news means they can check the news without any disturbance. For example, many newspapers are still widely and commonly sold in Vietnam and citizens there told that they prefer paying extra money just to read without ads. This essay believes newspapers aren't the best items to be used for getting information since they cost more money than other kinds of media.

The price to obtain information through other kinds of media is much lower than through newspapers. Since the process of manufacturing paper is longer and more costly, producing news on other places such as the Internet or television would be more cost-effective because it doesn't require any kind of paper. For instance, most news companies in European countries have switched to producing and broadcasting news on the Internet since the people there found it too expensive to purchase newspapers. Therefore, this essay believes using other types of media is a better option.

In conclusion, although people are able read the news without the interference of advertisements on newspapers, other kinds of media is much less expensive and, therefore, this essay believes it is better to check the news by using other types of media.
