Need correction

my plan is to upgrade my knowledge, find out my opportunities and decide on my specialization.
I will gain necessary skills and experience that will help me take a step towards in the pursuit of my dream.
Can you please correct this sentences? Emotion: smile Thank you in advance.

Capitalize the first word.

I'd suggest "take another step.'"

Delete "in." Actually, you can chose between "towards" and "in," but you can't keep both.
If you choose "in," than you may optionally delete "the." take another step in pursuit of my dream.

That's it.

I prefer "towards." Edit. Sorry, I misread! "Towards pursuing" is good.

This is all very high level and, to my mind, vague.For example, everybody wants to pursue his/her dream.
