Need correction
dear all
i tried to make welcoming letter for my company, please help me to correct the grammar or phrase in good english.
It is a pleasure for me to salute you through the newsletter of the Accreditation Board for Engineering Education of Korea. It has been almost a year since I took over the position of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of ABEEK succeeding the predecessor, Dr. Ki-Jun Lee, the President of National Academy of Engineering of Korea. This year is ABEEK´s fifth year since its foundation in August 30th of 1999, and ABEEK is recognized as Korea´s accredited institution for engineering education. Since then ABEEK has presented its best effort to produce the qualified engineers and promote the development of engineering education through certification and advices. Thank you to the ardor effort of members, ABEEK has achieved outstanding progress and put in good order of itself.
Since the foundation, ABEEK has established policies, processes and standards for engineering education certification, and identified the engineering education programs which fits to the minimum standard of accreditation by differentiating from general educational
institutions.
Entering into the 21 century of Knowledge and technology focus, it is indispensable to establish a firm foundation of engineering education to secure industrial competitiveness of Korea in a fierce global competitive era. I am certain that ABEEK´s role and responsibility will become greater because the basic method to support the new era is through a fair evaluation and accreditation of engineering education.
ABEEK will exercise highly qualified researches and projects that will contribute to the engineering education through the establishment of the foundation for engineering education accreditation and mutual international acknowledgment of Korea´s engineering education system. To achieve the goal, ABEEK will present its best effort to accomplish its obligation and responsibility.
I would like to request to all of you to enhance our efforts to cultivate the world top class engineers in each universities. =
