Need conjunction "and" before the final item?

Hi. Please help. Would it be correct not to write the conjunction "and" before the final item in this series of adjectives?

It is a medium-sized, hairless, tailless, hopping animal.

"And" is not necessary here. this is a list of adjectives before a noun, so the article is not needed.
