Nowadays many jobs are more stressful and the working day is longer. What are the reasons for this? What can employers do to help employees?

Working in some jobs todays are more and more stressful and people tend to spend longer time to finish their jobs. This essay will first suggest that these problems are mainly caused by competition and submit reducing job tasks and organising relax activities for employees as solutions for employers.

The foremost problems caused by competition. Good jobs which are high-paid jobs or having good compensation or ideal working environment will attract many people to compete to get these jobs. Moreover, globalization leads to the competition not only between individuals but also between companies regardless of how large these companies are. Competition comes from other people cause the pressure on employees, make them depressed and stressful. In Japan, the deadth of a journalist after 150 extra working hours in a month is an caution for everyone.

Possible solutions for these problems are reducing job tasks and create relax activities for employees to reduce their stress. Employers can reduce tasks assigned to employees, hire more employees or apply advance technology. Relax activities such as playing sport, instruments or organising vacations for employees frequently will help them recharge energy and enthusiasm after long working hours.

In conclusion, people are facing stress and depress from their jobs and working in long hours to finish their tasks. To resolve these problems, employers should reducing job assignments and have methods to help employers relax after long working days.
